CAREER IN HONORS COURSES OF LIFE SCIENCES

 Hello everyone.

Couldn't update my blog yesterday. I guess Sundays always put me in a state of hibernation.😅😅😅

Anyways, Today will discuss briefly about the scopes in the various honors courses I described about day before yesterday.

Let's get started.

MICROBIOLOGY

• You can work in food industries
• You can work in the labs of big private hospitals
• You can work in Pharmaceutical companies
• You can work in the agriculture department
• You can go for masters in microbiology by appearing for several entrance exams at the state and central level.
• You can opt for a PhD career after your masters by appearing for CSIR-UGC NET/GATE/GRE/AIIMS etc
• You can go for management courses if you wish to start your own company revolving around the core principles of microbiology to solve unmet need.

BIOCHEMISTRY

• You can work in the labs of big hospitals, research institutes etc
• You can work in food industries/pharmaceutical industries
• You can work in contract research organizations
• You can go for masters in your field and then pursue your research career
• You can go for management courses if you wish to start your own company revolving around the core principles of biochemistry to solve unmet need.

BOTANY

• You can work in the agriculture department
• You can work in environment related companies which focus on plants for generating their revenue
• You can pursue academic career by sitting for required entrance exams
• You can work as an ecologist if you love learning interactions of plants with their surroundings
• You can work as a taxonomist.
• You can go for masters in your field and then pursue your research career.
• You can go for management courses if you wish to start your own company revolving around the core principles of botany to solve unmet need.

ZOOLOGY

• You can work in the agriculture department

NOTE- AGRICULTURE ISN'T RESTRICTED TO PLANTS. IT ALSO INVOLVES DEALING WITH LIVESTOCK

• You can work as a wildlife biologist
• You can pursue an academic career
• You can work with veterinary doctors
• You can go for masters
• You can pursue your research career
• You can do specialization .
• You can go for management courses if you wish to start your own company revolving around the core principles of Zoology to solve unmet need.

• You can work in the forensic department of the hospitals
• You can work in the agriculture department
• You can work in pharmaceutical companies

• You can work as a researcher

FORENSIC SCIENCE

• You can work in the forensic department of hospitals
• You can work with Central bureau of investigation (CBI)
• You can work in the police departments
• You can work as a researcher in forensic laboratories
• You can even work for banks etc.

NUTRITION

• You can work as a nutritionist/Dietician in hospitals, private clinics
• You can even work as a family doctor
• You can work as a nutritionist in NGOs
• You can work as a sports nutritionist for athletes or sport teams
• You can work as a bariatric nutritionist (Ones who work for patients who have undergone surgery  for weight loss)
