FIELD OF BIOINFORMATICS

Hello everyone.

Today would be discussing about an interesting field in life sciences and that's BIOINFORMATICS.

So let's get started. 

Ever wondered about how a particular medicine eventually comes in the market and it is able to successfully treat the required disease with less than 1% chance of getting failed.

Let me elaborate.

SOPHISTICATED COMPUTER TOOLS ARE USED FOR IDENTIFYING/SYNTHESISING A DRUG THAT WILL HAVE A THERAPEUTIC EFFECT.

Always remember that at present all the new drugs(medicines) that we see in the market were initially screened and tested on sophisticated computer based softwares and databases.

One can't randomly go and start clinical trials of a particular medicine. If that would have been the case we would have witnessed more number of deaths than Recovery. 

Following are some of the subjects that you study in the field of Bioinformatics:-

NOTE- Subjects may vary depending on the type of bioinformatics course you are opting for (BSc/MSc/BTech/MTech)

So if you are someone who is somewhat fascinated by coding/Artificial intelligence/Machine learning or is good at coding or other computer based subjects but also wish to study subjects related to biology, I guess choosing Bioinformatics course will be the right option for you.
